Its color is an intense cherry red with violet reflections.  A complex scent of black fruits and ripe forest berries, cocoa, balsamic and floral nuances rises in the nose, followed by exotic spice notes.  The first impression is terrific. Complex and full-bodied, almost creamy.  On the palate, it is fresh, balanced, and very smooth.  Intense fruit aromas are combined with balsamic notes of fresh, wild herbs, hints of cocoa, and cedar.  The tannins are present but skilfully interwoven.  In the core, the character of this drop emerges.  Compact and fruit-intensive, juicy, and refreshing fruit acid make it appear less opulent.  The Cau del Gat ends long and delights with aromatic depth up to the elegant finale with a harmonious, fruity-spicy aftertaste.  A lucky find that is completely convincing! 

Ideal with all kinds of meat dishes, spicy dishes and grilled foods, Tex-Mex, burgers and matured cheeses.
